The A2A Ride
Picture from training!!
18th April 2015.
Suffolk Coastal Adventure
This was attend by 6 of the team, with amazing support form the Suffolk Road Safe Team who will be with us on the A2A24 ride.
This was a 250km route, around the Suffolk Coastline, we found route planning via strava is like following a satnav, with some odd directions. Like you cant cycle through Glemford Hall, also that Walberswick to Southwold is like the Paris-Roubaix with a bridleway, boardwalks and footbridge!! The team riding is coming together, and great sense of TEAM is coming together.
Despite see the van that the Team splashed over the back we were amazed at what we turned up to at
Despite 6 heading out at 130km we were down to 5 after Dave Schindler front wheel broke a spoke, and buckled the wheel jamming the brake on. So we gained an official tea boy for stop 3!!! Despite the best efforts and a Debit Card a local bike shop were unable/unwilling to get him back on the road! Other than a few punctures and a gashed tyre the ride was completed! Some great lessons learnt and things to move forward with for the remain 9 weeks of training!!
Amazing route, lovely weather and no better way to spend a Saturday.

UPDATE
There has been a few shorter rides, which have been attended by the team.
The Wormingford Dragon 200km, Copdock 100km, and Boxford Tornado.
All great events, with a mixture of the team attending.
But little to report, other than a list of mechanical issues, and falls all belonging to Mr Colin Vint. His bike has had a few trips to Pedal House, Hadleigh and now seems to be all back on track!!

Duxford Loop 225km
7 people made the trip to Duxford, and some how managed to be allowed to spend the whole of Valentines Day away from their other half.
With the great support of Lucy and Little Jack who were in the support car to provide the boys with food around 60km and 160km.
I need to take the blame, after being ill that week I was struggling on the bike. Therefore forgot to take pictures :(.

5 Men went to Ely.
Great days riding through Bury St Edmunds and Mildenhall through the Fens to Ely and back. There was only two technical issues, one cleat screw fell out and a visit from the puncture fairy.
Some nice roads, and also a head winds up to Ely, for people that don't know Ely its in the middle of the flat Fen's. There isn't anywhere to hide from the wind, so some tough riding there but the tail wind back was amazing!!
Brian was made aware of rule#49 but didn't seem to care!!
